Laura and Tom - Tankersley Manor

Today I'm showcasing Laura and Tom's stunning spring pastel wedding at Tankersley Manor back in April this year.

The images below were taken by me!

Laura knew she wanted a style that looked like they were just picked from a field, so she left the choice of flowers entirely to me. I knew she definitely didn't want any roses, so my bouquets included Icelandic Poppies, stocks, veronica, hellebore, astrantia, lisyanthus touched with astilbe.

The gent's buttonholes consisted mainly of gypsophilia, whilst the ladies' pins had elements from the bridal bouquet, finished with vintage lace.

Laura supplied her own jugs and milk bottles from the ever-reliable IKEA for the venue at Tankersley Manor, and I filled them with stocks, lisanthus, snapdragons and september flowers.

Here's what Laura had to say about her gorgeous flowers:

A friend recommended Paeony Floral to me for our big day, after attending a wedding and seeing Lauretta's beautiful floral arrangements. After seeing the pictures and visiting www.boutiquepaony.co.uk I knew I had to contact her, as the impression I got was exactly what I was looking for.

Rustic, freshly picked, organic and pure was my requirement, and upon meeting Lauretta I knew she could deliver exactly what I was looking for. I was wanting something a bit different to a traditional bouquet of 'perfect roses' as it's just not my thing; and Lauretta was able to show me an extensive portfolio of very unusual and tailor made requests, that were each perfect in their own way. We discussed the theme of the wedding which was very 'Country Garden' with lots of white and pastel colours, and she quickly came back to me with a delightful selection of graceful and enchanting blooms that were exactly as I had imagined.

Lauretta was flexible and extremely accommodating of both my specific requirements and my short supply of free time, and making alterations to my order was never an issue. On the day, as I expected, the flowers were all simply stunning. From the table flowers to my bouquet, Lauretta has a keen eye for detail and clearly takes a lot of pride and pleasure in her work. I think we received as many compliments regarding the flowers as we did for congratulations! Our guests all mentioned how beautifully delicate and simple they were, yet how big an impact they had, and I think her ability to create that 'feel' with flowers alone is truly commendable. I have had some of our flowers pressed and dried as a keepsake of both the day itself and just because they were so gorgeous. The remainder that I brought home and placed in vases continued to look glorious throughout our house for days without even beginning to fade. I couldn't recommend Paeony Floral highly enough, it was the perfect floral accompaniment to our special day.

Thank you for all you did.
