Lucy and Gez - Fishlake Mill

Updated: Feb 1, 2022

Back at Fishlike Mill again for Lucy and Gez's stunning wedding.

This wedding was full of joy and laughter and the flowers really expressed this feeling so well.

It was also so much joy to be working with Tux and Tales Photography again!

After our first consultation it became very clear to me that Lucy really loved the rustic just picked style. Her main words to describe what she wanted was that she wanted a style that looked like she just went to a field and grabbed a whole load of flowers and foliages.

Well, I hope I made Lucy's dreams come true.

Main theme running through was sunflowers but I choose the smallest headed ones for the bridal bouquets and buttonholes. However Lucy also really loved heather and I wasn't sure I could get them but was so pleased I managed it. The other flowers featured was veronica, scabious, cream stocks, Camomile, caspedia, ascepdia, theilipsi bell and a touch of thistle. Finished with hessian ribbon for the rustic feel.

Gez's buttonhole had all elements from Lucy's bouquet finished with garden string to follow the rustic theme through.

The bridesmaids wore stunning navy dresses which complimented the colour theme and held smaller versions to Lucy's bouquet.

These were then reused for table displays around the marquee. Check out my Top Tip blog post all about reusing your bridal flowers on this link.

Dressing the pagoda at Fishlake Mill I used larger sunflowers and trailing ruscus around then down the aisle little zinc buckets hung on hooks just really finished the overall look.

Gez cleaned all these tin cans for the table decorations and I filled them with flowers theme. I must say they were cleanest cans I've ever seen.

If Lucy and Gez's wedding has inspired you and you are looking for some expert advice for you're wedding flowers then don't hesitate to contact me I would love to hear from you.
